Mixer - GasTurb

The effect of mixing the two streams of a turbofan engine is best studied with GasTurb Details. If you would employ a full cycle code like GasTurb, then you would get component rematching effects in addition to the pure mixer performance changes, and this might lead to a wrong impression.

The thrust gain due to mixing (no friction pressure loss) is caused by the temperature difference between the two streams. The difference between the total pressures in the cold and hot streams must not be too big.
